People rejected show put on by opposition parties: Nawaz
HARIPUR (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that the people of Pakistan have rejected the negative propaganda of the opposition parties, saying that that the masses were aware of those playing politics of allegations.
Addressing a public gathering in Haripur, he said that those who had defamed one another had been gathered in Lahore against the PML-N government.
Commenting on the PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s cursing of the parliament, Nawaz said, he curses the same assembly for which he contests elections and draws a salary from.
Taking a jibe at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, the former PM said: “What have you done (Imran) for KP during the four and half year tenure of the provincial government, adding that people have rejected your (Imran) politics.”
“Come and see the verdict of the participants of the rally,” Nawaz challenges foes.
I have never witnessed this view of love and respect in Haripur, he said adding that I will serve the masses throughout my life. “Construction of Haripur motorway was my dream.”
The former PM said that he can see the landslide victory of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) in 2018 general elections, and promised the people of KP for the construction of motorways in every city, if they voted for the ruling PML-N in next general elections.
“I salute the judges who declared Imran Khan Sadiq and Ameen,” he said, adding he was disqualified for not taking salary from his son’s company.
Nawaz Sharif also lauded his government’s efforts to eliminate loadshedding from the country said that the issue loadshedding doesn’t exist in Pakistan anymore.
Earlier, addressing a public gathering in Haripur, Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister has said that the five judges of the Supreme Court sent Nawaz Sharif packing, adding that the ruling PML-N believes in unifying provinces.
She said that in every election the PML-N president bagged more votes despite conspiracies.
Launching an attack on PTI chairman Imran Khan without even mentioning his name, she said that the results of 2018 general elections were evident on the faces of those on the containers.
Calling her political opponents, the PML-N leader said: “You wouldn’t have to look towards the finger of the umpire, if you have served the masses during four and half years tenure.
She said: “When Nawaz Sharif was busy in China-Pakistan Economic Project (CPEC), his opponents were on the container trying to topple the PML-N government.”
Maryam said that neither fomrer PM’s opponents could get his resignation nor they could hold early elections despite repeated attempts.
