Peshawar Zalmi beat Islamabad United by 34 runs
DUBAI (92 News) – Peshawar Zalmi defeated Islamabad United by 34 runs at Dubai International Stadium on Saturday.
Being invited to bat, Peshawar Zalmi scored 176 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Kamran Akmal hit 53 runs with the help of seven fours and three sixes. Tamim Iqbal (39), DR Smith (30) and Muhammad Hafeez (30) were the main scorers.
Faheem Ashraf took two wickets, while Muhammad Sami, Rumman Rasees, AD Russel and SR Patel got one wicket each.
In reply, Islamabad United could make 142 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.
Faheem Ashraf smashed 54 runs off 30 balls, which included six fours and two sixes. SR Patel hit 23 laced with two fours. CAK Walton and AD Russel scored 11 each.
Umaid Asif grabbed four wickets for 23, while Ibtisam Sheikh got three wickets for 20 runs.
Umaid Asif was declared the Man of the Match.
