KARACHI (92 News) – A petition has been filed in the Sindh High Court (SHC) against revoking Sindh National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordinance 1999.

The petition was filed in the Sindh High Court (SHC) by Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-Pakistan) and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F).

Speaking on the occasion, MQM-Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar said that the bill is a conspiracy to increase corruption and protect corrupt people.

On the other hand, PML-F leader Nusrat Seher Abbasi said that provincial government’s dishonesty is behind passage of the bill.

Earlier, the Sindh government had issued a notification yesterday revoking National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordinance 1999.

The provincial government wrote a letter to NAB, asking transfer of all cases against provincial departments to anti-corruption court.

Notification was issued by the law department and Sindh Assembly gave directions to publish the new act of Sindh anti-corruption agency.
