PIA Privatization: Workers shut down airline offices across the country
LAHORE/KARACHI/ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) workers have on Tuesday shut down airline offices in different cities to protest privatization plans of national airline by the government.
The PIA workers have held protest demonstration in different cities including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Quetta and shut down airline offices following the government’s plans to privatize the national airline.
In Lahore, the PIA staffers held a protest demonstration and chanted anti-government slogans. The protesters said that the government is deliberately lingering on the issue.
In Quetta, the PIA have also staged a protest demonstration shutdown the office for three hours.
