Pillion riding to be banned in Karachi on Muharram 8-10: Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah
KARACHI (92 News) – Pillion riding will be banned in Karachi from Muharram 8 to 10.
It was decided during a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
He said that Muharram and local bodies’ elections are going side by side.
Governor Ishratul Ebad was also present.
The meeting also decided to recommend suspension of mobile phone service on Muharram 10.
The police presented a report to the meeting and stated that the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi was planning terrorism to take revenge of the deaths of Malik Ishaq and Usman Kurd.
They said that the banned organization was working by a new name in Sindh.
They said that mourning procession would be monitored through helicopters and SUPARCO Surveillance System.
