PM Abbasi to address 72nd session of UN General Assembly tonight
NEW YORK (92 News) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will address the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York tonight.
Shahid Abbasi’s address to the General Assembly will be his debut into highest international diplomacy after being sworn in as the prime minister.
Pakistan is a great advocate of multilateralism and the United Nations to promote collective responses to the multifaceted challenges of global peace, security and development.
Pakistan would continue its constructive role and engagement at the UN with a view to protecting and promoting its national interests, including the core issues such as Jammu and Kashmir, reform of the Security Council and a host of issues pertaining to counter-terrorism measures, human rights, peacekeeping and development.
