PM, army chief depart for Kabul on a daylong trip
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif left for Afghanistan on a daylong tour along with a high-level delegation Tuesday.
As per reports, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani invited the premier and the army chief which the latter accepted. For this purpose, a high level meeting took place at the PM House yesterday in which senior level officials including the ISI chief took part. During the meeting, relations with Afghanistan were discussed in detail. Also, the resolve to further strengthen the relations with the neighbour on the West was made.
Pakistan delegation is expected to meet Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Abduallah Abdullah and other delegations on their trip.
