PM can nominate a senior minister to present budget in his absence: PPP senator

KARACHI (92 News) – PPP Senator Saleem Mandviwala has said that the prime minister can appoint a senior minister to present the budget in his absence.

In a statement on Saturday, he said that the prime minister could also nominate any minister to preside over the cabinet meeting.

He said that the presence of the prime minister in the parliament was mandatory to approve the budget, otherwise constitutional crisis could arise.
