PM chairs high level meeting to review security situation
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Friday chaired an important meeting to review country’s sovereignty and foreign affairs.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Prime Minister’s Advisor on National Security Lieutenant General (r) Nasir Janjua, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and other high ranking civil and military officials were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to law and order situation in the country and other issues including extension in Rangers’ powers and 34-countries military alliance led by Saudi Arabia were discussed.
The meeting of took place following the visit of Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
