PM, COAS reach Gwadar for deep seaport’s inaugural ceremony
GWADAR (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and other country’s top leadership have reached Balochistan to kick off the shipment of trade goods from Gwadar Port to international markets.
The first shipment of Chinese goods would leave for other countries through two ships.
The inauguration of Gwadar port would mark the historic launch of trade activity through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is accompanied by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and Foreign Affairs adviser Nasser Janjua. JUIF chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman also arrived at the port.
During his day-long visit to Gwadar, the prime minister will also address a ceremony of launching the first mega pilot trade cargo.
