WASHINGTON (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Wednesday taken notice of the food shortage faced by the residents of Afghanistan’s Kunduz.

In a statement issued by the spokesman for Prime Minister House, Nawaz Sharif directed the Foreign Office to arrange for transportation of a plane-load of wheat stock.

The measure is being taken as a goodwill gesture on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan for the returning residents of Kunduz facing severe food shortage after Taliban retreat.
