ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed that all steps must be taken on urgent basis to address the current load-shedding situation in order to mitigate the sufferings of the people at the earliest.

Talking to Secretary Water and Power Younus Dagha in Islamabad on Saturday, the Prime Minister said that uninterrupted power supply must be ensured to all consumers across the country at sehar and iftar timings. He was informed that there was an unprecedented surge in power demand on the first day of the month of Ramazan which necessitated forced loadshedding for some time. He said the situation could only be brought under control if the demand decreases.
