ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to dismiss petitions seeking the disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his relatives.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s lawyers Salman Butt submitted PM Sharif’s reply at the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) over the petitions seeking the disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his relatives.

During the hearing, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Hamza Shahbaz have also submitted their replies.

The lawyer of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the ECP should give a verdict regarding the jurisdiction of the ECP on which Chief Election Commissioner remarked that their concerns will be addressed.

Talking to media outside ECP, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesman Naeem-ul-Haq accuses Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of using delaying tactics.

On the other hand, talking to media, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz said that PTI chairman Imran Khan had built a story over a lie, adding that all his claims proved a lie. “The PTI Chief can no longer hoodwink people through false and baseless allegations,” he said.

The PML-N leader said Imran Khan always blows the trumpet of accountability but the fact is that his party itself is hindering this process in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
