PM Imran Khan says Kashmir is not an issue of land, but human rights
NAROWAL (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Kashmir is not a matter of land, but human rights.
Addressing a ceremony after inaugurating Kartarpur Corridor on Saturday, he said that the sub-continent can make progress if the Kahsmir issue is resolved. “The Kashmir issue has crossed the territorial limits. It has become an issue of human rights. Kashmiris have been deprived of human rights,” he said. “Peace cannot be established in this way. Owing to the Kashmir issue, all relations have been stopped.”
The prime minister said that the Kashmir dispute can be resolved through talks. “Indian PM Narendra Modi had talked about ending poverty. Former PM Manmohan Singh has said that the sub-continent could make progress if the Kashmir dispute is resolved,” he said.
Lauding the FWO and other departments working on the project, the prime minister said that he did not know how much hard working his government is.

The PM said that Baba Guru Nanak had talked about humanity, but not of spreading hatred. “I am glad that I have been able to do this for you.”
Giving the reference of Nelson Mandela who raised a strong voice against apartheid against racism and injustice against the black people, the prime minister said that Mandela spent 27 years in jail but forgave his opponents to save South Africa from bloodshed.
Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the inauguration of the Kartarpur Corridor is being lauded by the world. “Baba Guru Nanak’s message is the message of love and peace,” he said. “Today is a historic day and let’s jointly work to end poverty.”
He said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the speech across the border and thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan. “Modi can give an opportunity to PM Imran Khan to thank him by lifting curfew in Occupied Kashmir,” he said.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that if the Berlin Wall can collapse then the temporary demarcation Line of Control can also open.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri said that after the partition, today’s ceremony is a big message. He said that Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji had spent his last days here.
