Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says future of Pakistan is bright

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated a 40 megawatts coal power project in Faisalabad on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the future of Pakistan is bright. “2018 will be the year of ending loadshedding,” he said.

He said that Karachi is an industrial hub and they will restore its status.

Commissioning of the power plant is a step towards achieving self-reliance in power generation. Such initiatives by the private sector are extremely encouraging and will prove helpful in overcoming the energy shortage in the country.

The government is heavily investing in energy sector to rid the country of energy deficit by 2018. A policy of energy-mix that focuses on diverse sources of energy is earnestly pursued at the government level.

The 40MW coal power plant is the largest of its kind in the industrial sector of Faisalabad.
