PM meets CJCSC, PAEC officials
- PM to embark on three-day visit to Saudi Arabia on March 4
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif discussed matters of regional and national security during a one-on-one meeting with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Rashad Mahmood on Tuesday.
In another meeting with officials of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), Prime Minister was briefed on the ongoing nuclear energy projects and NPT Vision 2050.
CJCSC General Rashad Mahmood, DG Strategic Planning Division, Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif and Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar were present during the briefing.
PM was also briefed on K2 and K3 projects. The Prime Minister assured of funds availability for NPT Vision 2050 projects.
On the hand, PM Nawaz Sharif will visit Saudi Arabia on a three-day visit on March 4 on the invitation of newly crowned ruler of the Saudi Kingdom King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
PM is visiting Saudi Arabia on the special invitation by the the Saudi monarch. This would be the first visit by the premier since King Salman came to power.
The prime minister will be accompanied by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and several members of the Federal Cabinet.
