PM Nawaz cuts short his London visit, decides to return to Pakistan
LONDON (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Sunday winding up his engagements in London, has decided to immediately return back to country.
In a statement issued by the PM Office, the prime minister is returning to Pakistan today following the Bahawalpur oil tanker inferno which left around 140 people dead and hundreds other injured.
The prime minister noted that the terror incidents on Jumma-tul-Wida and Ahmedpur Sharqia tragedy had grieved the nation immensely.
He appealed to the nation to pray for the departed souls and for early recovery of the injured.
He had contacted Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif and directed him to reach Ahmadpur Sharqia and supervise all the rescue and relief activities.
The prime minister also directed for all possible relief to the victims’ families.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had arrived at Pakistan High Commission in the United Kingdom.
The prime minister was warmly received by Pakistan High Commissioner Syed Ibne Abbas and other senior officials.
