PM Nawaz inaugurates PIA’s premier service
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Sunday inaugurated Pakistan International Airline’s (PIA) Premier Service at Islamabad airport on Sunday.
The first flight of the Premier Service departed for London. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif saw off the passengers of the first flight of the service.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, CEO PIA Bern Hildenbrand, PIA Chairman Azam Saigol, Sri Lankan Airlines Chairman and CEO Ajith Dias and Surendra Ratwatte and former Advisor to PM on Aviation Captain Shujaat Azeem were also present on the occasion.
The prime minister was told that planes for the Premier Service were acquired from Sri Lanka on wet lease, while the crew and staff of the Service also got training from Sri Lankan experts.
Several additional facilities have been provided in planes of the Premier Service. LCD were installed at every seat and wifi facilities also made available for the passengers. Timings of flights have also improved and number of flights increased.
