PM Nawaz nominates Raja Farooq as next AJK PM
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Wednesday nominated Raja Farooq Haider as the next Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K).
The decision was taken at a meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) AJK Chapter in Islamabad on Wednesday chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership and newly elected member of AJK Legislative Assembly included Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Leader of the House in Senate Raja Zafarul Haq, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid, Barjis Tahir, Prime Minister Special Assistant Asif Kirmani and others attended the meeting.
The AJK-designated Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider said that he will come up to the confidence of the Party leadership. He said his agenda will be merit, good governance and zero tolerance for corruption.
Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan will continue to extend moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle to the right of self determination.
He said that our hearts beat with the Kashmiri people and we will always stand shoulder to shoulder with them.
