PM Nawaz performs groundbreaking of Green Bus System

KARACHI (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Friday performed groundbreaking of the Green Line Bus Transport System.

The Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System would benefit nearly 300,000 passengers a day, while the estimated cost of the corridor is Rs 1.7 billion and entire funding had been provided by the federal government.

The project starts from Surjani Town and ends at Municipal Park, MA Jinnah Road Karachi. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad welcomed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

On the other hand, the prime minister was briefed about the overall law and order situation in the province.


Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Director General Rangers Sindh Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar and other high level officials attended the meeting.

Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid was also present on the occasion.
