PM Nawaz performs groundbreaking of optical fiber cable project
GILGIT (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Thursday performed groundbreaking of Pakistan-China Optical Fiber Cable Project in Gilgit.
This Optical Fiber Cable project is a part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), costing US $44 million will be completed in two years.
Special Communication Organization will lay 820 kilometer long cable from Rawalpindi to Khunjerab. On completion the project will provide an alternative telecommunication route between Pakistan and China.
