PM Nawaz Sharif neither met nor shook hand with Indian PM, says Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry
NEW YORK (92 News) – Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has neither met with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi nor he shook hand with him, while it should not be made an issue.
Addressing a press conference in New York, he said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Indian PM Modi didn’t shake hand, they just waved at each other.
On the occasion, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Maleeha Lodhi said that the two prime ministers have not met.
She said that increasing the number of permanent members of the United Nations Security Council is not a democratic process, adding that there was no consensus for reform in the Security Council.
