PM Nawaz Sharif embarks on official US visit
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Monday left on an official visit to United States along with along with 13-member delegation.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif before departing on a key official visit said that Pakistan is a responsible sovereign nuclear State, adding that its strategic assets are secured under a foolproof arrangement, while its nuclear power is for national security and against external aggression.
He made it clear that Pakistan wants relations on basis of equality with other countries of the region.
Nawaz Sharif said that being a sovereign country with a strong democratic dispensation, Pakistan has rendered unmatched sacrifice in war on terror as a front-line state. “The success of operation Zarb-e-Azb is a manifestation of Pakistan’s unwavering commitment against terrorism and extremism,” he said.
On the other hand, the foreign office spokesman said that the invitation of this visit was given by the US President Barack Obama. During the visit, the Prime Minister will discuss besides regional situation, matters relating to defense, counter-terrorism, economic, trade, education, health, and climatic change.
