PM Nawaz Sharif forms Steering Committee to political parties concerns over CPEC
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Friday formed a Steering Committee to oversee implementation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and to address political parties concerns.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a consultative meeting of political leaders to address the concerns of political parties pertaining to CPEC.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Mahtab, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Sirajul Haq, Pervaiz Khatak, Aftab Sherpao, Mir Hasil Bazenjo, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Mushahid Hussain Syed, Aitzaz Ahsan, Afriasyab Khatak, Mian Iftikhar, federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Saad Rafiq and Raja Zafarul Haq have attended the meeting.
Opposition parties said that they were not against the project but they would continue to raise voice for the development of backward areas, however, the prime minister assured the opposition parties of addressing all the concerns.
