PM Nawaz Sharif should fulfill promise of western route: APC
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – An All Parties Conference (APC) was organized by Balochistan National Party – Mengal Group (BNP-M) regarding China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Islamabad in which representatives of different political and religious parties were present in the conference.
Balochistan National Party (BNP) chairman Akhtar Mengal chaored the conference at a local hotel in Islamabad, in which 12 resolutions have been passed.
The speakers of the conference demanded that the declaration of May 28 APC has been released.
According to a resolution passed by all parties, the construction of Western Route promised by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should be fulfilled.
Addressing the conference, the speakers said that the provinces must be informed about the projects to be launched.
The parties participating in the APC said that they were not against the CPEC but their apprehensions must be addressed, adding that their reservations are relating to the fairness and division of the projects. “If the projects were not fairly distributed then this will increase the sense of deprivation in provinces.”
Addressing the conference, Ahsan Iqbal said that Rs7.1 billion dollars are being invested in Balochistan under the CPEC project which makes upto 21 pecent of the total investment.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak said they support the CPEC as it was a project of prosperity.
The Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to chair an APC.
