PM Nawaz Sharif visits French embassy, expresses grief over loss of lives
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Tuesday visited French embassy in Islamabad to express solidarity following Friday’s Paris attacks that left more than 120 dead.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister House spokesman, the prime minister expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in the incidents, adding that the Pakistani people had been long facing terrorism and extremism and could feel the pain of the French people.
He said that the government and people of Pakistan stand by the French people at this moment. “Pakistan is ready to extend possible assistance to France in this hour of grief,” he said.
French Ambassador to Pakistan Martine Dorance said that France would like to learn from the courage of Pakistani nation for braving terrorism. The prime minister also wrote his comments in the condolence book.
