PM Nawaz to visit Karachi today, likely to meet CM Sindh

KARACHI (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will today (Monday) visit Karachi and likely to hold one-on-one meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

During the visit PM Nawaz Sharif will attend meetings to review work on developmental projects of Port Qasim Authority and Port Qasim Power Project.

The prime minister will also address members of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership has attached significant expectations with the premier’s visit.

The PPP leader Maula Bakhsh Chandio said that Nawaz Sharif should visit Karachi becoming prime minister of Pakistan.


Qamar Zaman Kaira expressed hoped that the issue would be resolved following the prime minister’s visit.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah is also seeking to resolve differences between federal and provincial governments through understanding, while newly elected PPP president Asif Zardari has also decided not to take the issue in the court.
