PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi forms cabinet committee over arms licences issue
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi presided over a meeting of the federal cabinet on Tuesday.
Apprising the cabinet about his visit to Karachi, he said that 50 fire tenders would be given to KMC.
He said that underpasses and bridges would be constructed to resolve the traffic problem.
The prime minister said that Green Line Metro projects would be extended to all areas. “The government will extend its full cooperation to the Sindh government with regard to law and order,” he added.
The Interior Secretary briefed the prime minister about the arms licence laws.
The prime minister formed a cabinet committee over the issue. He will head the committee, while the Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, CAD Minister Tariq Fazal Ch, State Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb and Security Adviser will be its members.
He has directed the Interior Ministry to recollect the data about arms licences. The people having automatic weapons will be provided an opportunity to get registered with the NADRA within 90 days.
