FAISALABAD (92 News) – The activists of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have on Tuesday held a protest demonstration against alleged vote counting without any prior information in Faisalabad’s UC-156.

The PML-N’s Khawaja Muhammad Rizwan was declared winner in Faisalabad’s UC-156 Guru Nanakpura by getting 2502 votes, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Qamar Iqbal was on the second place by getting 2484 votes.

However, the PML-N workers held a protest demonstration for alleged vote recounting by the Returning Officer (RO). The protesters chanted slogans against and burned tires in Chenab Chowk.

The protesters said that the RO opened the vote bags on the instructions of Rana Sanaullah without informing the elected representative, which is a violation of law.

On the occasion, the PTI activists opened firing due to which a woman sustained injuries. She was shifted to hospital, while police reached the spot and dispersed the protesters.
