‘PML-N cooperating with JIT from day one’
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), the leaders from the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have on Wednesday again lashed out at the six-man panel formed the probe Panama Leaks case.
Talking to media outside the Judicial Academy in Islamabad, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Asif Kirmani said that despite reservations, the PML-N is fully cooperating with the JIT from day one.
He said we want justice in the case and the Supreme Court of Pakistan should direct the JIT to visit Doha and also record the statement of the Qatari prince.
He said those trying to undermine democracy in the country actually want to destabilize Pakistan. He, however, said the development process started by the Prime Minister will go ahead.
Kirmani said that the PTI Chairman has failed to present his money trail and the foreign funding of his party in Election Commission and the courts.
On the occasion, Daniyal Aziz said that there is no contradiction in the statements of the prime minister’s family about their properties and assets.
The PML-N leader said that the opponents are distorting the statements for their vested interests. He said the stance of Hassan Nawaz is the same as it was in 1999.
PML-N leader Amir Muqam said that the Nawaz Sharif has presented his entire family for accountability which is unprecedented in the world history, adding that PTI chairman Imran Khan should also present himself for accountability.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar said that the daughter of the premier has appeared before the JIT for the sake of the country. “The hands of the prime minister are clean and he will come out victorious,” he said.
