LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) ruled out the possibility of submitting an indemnity bond and decided to approach the court against the federal government’s decision.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has summoned a high-level party meeting today (Thursday) to discuss and review the legal options available and take a final decision on the matter.

Meanwhile, the Sharif family including former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif will consult the matter and the final decision will be made by the former prime minister after consultation with his family.

Nawaz Sharif has once again refused to go abroad one-time for four weeks after submitting the surety bonds. He has informed PML-N president Shhebaz Sharif about his decision.

On the other hand, the PML-N is likely to approach court on the conditional permission granted to him by the government. Sources said that the Sharif family has started consulting the lawyers.

A day earlier, the federal government has allowed Nawaz Sharif to go abroad for four weeks after submitting indemnity surety bond worth Rs7 billion. Law Minister Farogh Naseem said that the permission had been granted keeping in the view the health of Nawaz Sharif.

He said that the government had received the application seeking removal of Nawaz Sharif’s name from the ECL. “A report of Sharif Medical City was also attached to the application,” he said.

The minister said that the departure of Nawaz Sharif is linked to surety bonds. “According to the report, the health of Nawaz Sharif is not good. He has undergone six operations,” he said.

Adviser to PM on Accountability Barrister Shahzad Akbar said that it was responsibility of the government to ensure the return of Nawaz Sharif.

“We will have to ensure that a rule should be formed for all. “The condition of Asif Zardari is unwell and he should be given the relief,” he said.

The adviser said that they had not received an application from former president Asif Zardari. “We will also listen to Asif Zaradri after receiving his application,” he said.
