PML-N workers shot dead two PTI activists, six injured in Lahore
LAHORE (92 News) – At least two workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were killed while six others injured during a clash between the workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Lahore’s in Yaki Gate area.
As per details, the activists of PML-N and PTI had exchanged hot words during which the PML-N workers opened firing at the PTI office, injuring eight people on the spot.
The injured people were rushed to nearby hospital, where two PTI activists and brothers Khurram and Arif succumbed to injuries. The PML-N activists managed to escape.
The PTI leaders Shafqat Mahmood, Aleem Khan and Chaudhry Sarwar reached hospital and met the injured workers.
PTI’s chief organizer for Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar accused the provincial government of inciting violence and said that the provincial government has failed to provide security to the masses.
He alleged that the PML-N government was patronizing the killers. Sarwar accused the police of serving the ruling party’s cause and said it was protecting the criminals instead of catching them.
Later, a case was lodged with the Yakki Gate police against PML-N workers including Zahid, Rashid Ahmed, Malik Tariq, and seven others under various charges including terrorism.
