PML-N’s Sardar Nasaeem Khan emerges strong candidate for Rawalpindi’s mayor
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Rawalpindi president Sardar Nasaeem Khan is expected to be the next mayor of the ruling party after five candidates of PML-N have emerged for city’s mayorship.
According to the unofficial results of Rawalpindi’s local government elections, the PML-N is leading with 109 seats, while the independent candidates bag 45 seats and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf could only win 21 seats.
The PPP and Awami Muslim League could bag only 1 seat each.
Five names of PML-N leaders including Sardar Naseem Khan, Raja Mushtaq, Sheikh Arslan Hafeez, Sajjad Khan and Malik Sultan have emerged as the expected candidates for mayor of Rawalpindi.
