Police kicks off drive to fine bikers not wearing helmet

LAHORE (92 News) – On the order of the Lahore High Court, the police on Tuesday started a campaign to impose a heavy fine of Rs 1,000 on bikers not wearing helmet.
With the launch of the drive, sellers have increased the prices of helmet manifold.
On the other hand, citizens have protested against the unjustified increase in the prices of helmet.
A traffic warden, seeking anonymity, lauded the step taken by the government and said that it should have been done much earlier.
Owing to the drive, a majority of bikers is forced to wear helmets.
