Our political war for FATA has ended, says Maulana Fazlur Rahman
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman has said that their political war with regard to the FATA has ended.
In a meeting with Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch, he said that the constitutional and legal bill has been presented in haste.
“Why was the FATA bill concealed from us? It had been stated in the advisory committee that the bill would not be presented, but now the bill has been presented,” he said.
He said that he had been assured of stopping the merger of the FATA and not to impose the Rawaj Act.
The minister assured Maulana Fazlur Rahman of removing his reservations.
He said that the bill has been passed on only one point, out of 25 points. “The ambit of the High Court and the Supreme Court has been extended to the FATA,” he said.
