PPP to file appeal against ATC verdict in Benazir murder case
KARACHI (92 News) – The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has decided to file an appeal against the verdict of the anti-terrorism court in the Benazir Bhutto murder case.
The decision to file an appeal was made during a meeting of the party on Thursday evening. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari presided over the meeting.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Latif Khosa, counsel for the PPP, said that former president Asif Zardari will file three appeals.
He said that any legal heir of the deceased has the right to challenge the verdict.
Khosa alleged that former interior minister Ch Nisar had provided a safe passage to former president Pervez Musharraf.
