PPP senior leader Jahangir Badr laid to rest
LAHORE (92 News) – PPP senior leader Jahangir Badr was laid to rest in Miani Sahib Graveyard on Monday.
A large number of social and political leaders attended his funeral.
Meanwhile, burglars pick the pockets of three PPP leaders, including Khurshid Shah.
Badar was one of the close aides of slain former PPP Chairman Benazir Bhutto.
On the other hand, the leaders of all political parties expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sudden demise of Jahangir Badar.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took to the twitter to express grief and sorrow and said: “Shocked to hear the sad news. RIP Uncle Jahangir Badar but said never imagined taking this journey without you. Inshallah we will make you proud.”
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman of the party, Asif Ali Zaradari have also paid rich tribute to political struggle waged by the late PPP leader. They in their separate messages paid eulogized the political struggle, which he had fought for the promotion of political struggle in the country.
President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have expressed heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of renowned politician Jahangir Badar. Paying rich tributes to the services of the late politician, the President said the contributions of late Jahangir Badar towards strengthening of democracy in the country would always be remembered. He prayed for the departed soul to rest an eternal peace and tranquility.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his condolence message paid rich tribute to political struggle. He said Jahangir Badar was a great political asset who believed and worked for the promotion of democratic norms in our country.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of PPP leader.
