PPP leader Qasim Zia approaches LHC for bail
LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan People’s Party leader Qasim Zia has on Tuesday approached the Lahore High Court for bail in the fraud case.
The petition filed at LHC on behalf of Punjab Assembly former opposition leader Qasim Zia pleads that he parted from Ali Usman Stock Company in 2008 and that all charges against him are baseless.
Earlier, Qasim Zia was produced before the Accountability Court after six-day physical remand.
The court rejected the NAB authorities’ plea to extend physical remand and sent the accused Qasim Zia to jail on judicial remand, as the authorities failed to produce evidence in the court.
A two-member bench will hear the former president of Punjab chapter of Pakistan People’s Party Qasim Zia’s petition.
