PPP Sindh council terms Mirza family rebels, suggests expelling Fahmida Mirza, Hasnain Mirza
KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Sindh Council on Friday termed the Mirza Family (Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, Fahmida Mirza and Hasnain Mirza) rebels to the party and suggested removing their party membership.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has said that there will be no negotiations with the Mirza family. “Those waving the Kalashnikov will not be talked with,” he said addressing the PPP Sindh Council as it passed a condemnation resolution against Zulfiqar Mirza, expressing the resolve to show the Mirza family the door. “All the arms licenses issued during Zulfiqar Mirza’s tenure will also be reverified,” he said.
The Mirza family which included an ex Sindh home minister and a former National Assembly speaker, is for the past few days, involved in severe mud-slinging on the PPP and Sindh government, with Dr Zulfiqar Mirza scuffling police officers in his hometown Badeen and spreading disorder in the city.
