Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reaches China on two-visit tour
BEIJING (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reached China on a two-day official visit to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit as an observer.
He will meet also world leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif are also accompanying him.
Pakistan was invited to become full member of the SCO at Ufa summit in July this year and all relevant procedures are being completed for full membership.
Earlier, Chinese Prime Minister Xi Jinping welcomed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Before his departure to China, the prime minister approved to name 122 Islamabad-based schools and colleges after the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar.
