Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reaches home after open-heart surgery
LAHORE (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday reached the Allama Iqbal International Airport after an open-heart surgery in London.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Ch Nisar, State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana, Chief Secretary Zahid Syed, several PML-N leaders and workers welcomed him at the airport.
Talking to the media at the airport, Nawaz Sharif asked the opposition to let the country run so that it may progress.
He said that sit-ins and protests were not a solution to the problems. “Alhamdulillah, I am fine. Allah Almighty has granted me health so that I may serve the nation,” he said.
The prime minister said that Abdul Sattar was an asset of the nation and he served the nation. “We will have to take the mission of Abdul Sattar ahead jointly,” he said.
Later, he left for Jatti Umra by helicopter.
