Process of change begins in country: Arif Alvi
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) nominated candidate for President Arif Alvi said that the process of change in Pakistan has started after election of Imran Khan as the prime minister.
Speaking to the journalists, he said that now is the time to fulfill all the promises PTI had made with people and the prime minister will lay out the road map to it his first address to the nation this evening.
Arif Alvi said the PTI will work to make Pakistan a country where every person gets best health, education and other basic facilities. He thanked the Prime Minister and the party for reposing confidence in him for the post of President, saying it is a great responsibility.
Arif Alvi said it will be his effort as the president to forge unity among all the provinces and make sure that no province is neglected. He said he is thankful to the PTI members, independents, MQM members, GDA, BAP, Akhtar Mengal and everyone who voted for Imran Khan in the prime minister’s election.
The president-elect said he hopes to continue living in the parliamentary lodges if he is allowed to. On a lighter note, when asked whether he would continue to work as a dentist and whether people would come to visit him for dental issues, Dr Alvi said he would like to continue making a living if he is able to do so.
