Protesting teachers again baton-charged in Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – The police on Thursday again tear-gassed and baton-charged the teachers protesting for the regularization of their jobs for the last 11 days.
Over 35 teachers were arrested and shifted to different police stations. However, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took notice and ordered to release all the teachers immediately.
A delegation of the protesting teachers also held a meeting with the CM. After the meeting, they tried to march towards Bilawal House, but the police stopped them.
The police used tear gas to disperse the protesters.
The chief minister said that he had accepted all demands of the teachers and their protest was unjustified.
