PTI given Dec 27 deadline to submit intra-party polls details
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday gave December 27 deadline to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to submit details of intra-party elections.
A five-member bench of the ECP headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan heard the petition related to intra-party elections of the PTI.
During the proceedings, Azam Swati appeared before the ECP on behalf of the PTI.
The CEC expressed anger over the PTI for not submitting any details of the intra-party polls to which Azam Swati said that he was out of country.
Swati said that the party was waiting for the judgment but the tribunal summoned extra documents to which the CEC remarked that the ECP can summon documents at any time.
The ECP later directed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to submit details about its intra-party polls by Dec 27.
