ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umer has on Friday challenged the delimitation of union councils of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Talking to media, the PTI leader Asad Umer said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has managed to delimitate the UCs to manipulate the election for the mayor of Islamabad, adding that the delimitation is against the law.

He said that new delimitations have been reduced to one-third from two-third, adding that the number of union councils have been reduced in the areas where PTI won.

PTI MNA Asad Umar said that the local government law of Islamabad stated that delimitation should be on the basis of census but the rule had not been followed in the instant case.

The PTI leader said that the people ask when will the PTI stop politics of protest, adding that we do not like to protest and we will not protest when the rigging ends.
