PTI ordered to provide funding details to ECP within two weeks
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday ordered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to submit foreign funding details in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) within two weeks.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) judge Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani resumed hearing of the case.
During the proceedings, Anwar Mansoor, the counsel of PTI said that neither the ECP is a court nor it is a tribunal which has the authority to summon funds details.
He said that the PTI is ready to provide funding details to ECP on one condition that the details would not be shared with any party.
The court ordered the PTI to submit funding details in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) within two weeks and ordered the ECP to take action according to the law.
The court also directed the ECP not to share funding details with anyone.
The court adjourned the hearing until October 10.
