PTI to set stage in the land of Sufis today; Imran Khan will address the occasion
MULTAN (92 News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will display its political might in a rally in Multan today (Friday), as part of the party’s efforts to win PP-196 seat in the city.
As per reports, PTI Chairperson Imran Khan will address the public gathering at Technical Training College Multan. The party’s local office-bearers have sought a permit for today’s gathering at the venue.
More that 30,000 chairs have been set at the venue.
Meanwhile, foolproof security arrangements have put in place for the rally. The boundary wall of the sports ground has been hammered flat at two places so that additional exits and entrances can be put in place in order to ward off any chaos and resulting stampede.
Earlier last year, five people lost their lives in a stampede on October 10 when people were leaving the venue.
The college ground has the capacity to accommodate 50,000 people.
