PTI’s Alamgir Khan wins by-polls in NA-243: unofficial results:
KARACHI (92 News) – Founder of “Fixit” and social activist Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Alamgir Khan has secured victory in NA-243 constituency of Karachi after defeating Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan’s (MQM-P) leader Amir Chisti.
In General Polls 2018, Prime Minister Imran Khan had won elections on this seat. However, he retained seat of National Assembly (NA) from Mianwali while withdrew from four others including that of Karachi
At least 370 candidates contested 11 National Assembly and 24 provincial assembly seats on Sunday. Polling was held from 8am to 5pm under the supervision of the Pakistan Army and police. The Election Commission of Pakistan will release the official results later.
