ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Abdul Aleem Khan has on Thursday filed a petition with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) challenging the results of the NA-122 by-election held in October.

The PTI’s NA-122 runner up Aleem Khan and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Shoaib Siddiqui reached Election Commission along with his lawyers and challeneged the NA-122 by-polls results.

The plea stated that the ECP doesn’t have records of around 22,000 voters among 30,000, who were transferred during last two years, so the by-elections should be declared null and void, adding that only 812 voters personally confirmed that they transferred their votes out of the constituency.

On the occasion, Aleem Khan said that the PTI has more evidence than earlier to de-seat Speaker National Assembly, adding that either National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) or Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rigged the election before NA-122 by-polls.

“I hope that Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) will pay heed to our complaint and give a fair verdict by unseating NA speaker Ayaz Sadiq once again,” he said.
