PTI’s protest and demand for PM’s resignation are Pakistan’s internal matter
WASHINGTON (92 News) – US States department spokesman John Kirby said Wednesday that the US strongly condemn the terrorist attack on Police training college in Quetta.
In his daily news briefing in Washington, he said that the US will continue its support to Pakistan in its efforts to end the menace of terrorism and promote peace and stability in the region.
The spokesperson said: “Terrorism is a common threat to everybody and it requires common and comprehensive and collaborative solutions.”
Kirby said that the US supports Pakistan’s democratically elected government, adding that they support the right to peaceful protest. “Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) sit-in is Pakistan’s internal matter,” he said.
He said: “The demand for resignation of Pakistani Prime Minister is country’s internal matter.”
The spokesman said that Pakistan can play a direct role for the stability in the region by taking action against terrorists using its territory to attack neighboring countries.
